At T- junction turn right onto The Mount - a1036 (signposted Leeds a64). Turn right onto Driffield Terrace and you can see the Elmbank Hotel on your left and side. Coming from the South A1 At M1 junction 43 take left-hand lanes (signposted The North, Leeds (East)). At Junction 47 continue forward (signposted The North (A1), Wetherby M1). Continue forward, then join the A1(M). Keep in left hand lane and leave the A1(M) at junction 45, then merge onto the A64 (signposted York). Branch left (signposted York - West A1036), then merge onto unnamed road. Keep in left hand lane then continue forward. At traffic signals turn left onto the A1036 (signposted City Centre).
